Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) retaining nut holds the single wire temperature senders in place. It secures the Water Temperature Sender into the Thermostat Housing on all 70-83 L6 engines, and holds the Oil Temperature Sender in place on 81-89* Turbocharged models. Be sure to check the condition of your old nut prior to replacing the temperature sender, as they often become corroded and need replacement.
Plating Note:
As with many of the OEM hardware, fittings, caps, and other plated components, Nissan no longer uses the original plating that gave these Retaining Nuts their "yellow zinc" appearance. Nissan has used several different types of plating on metal components over the years, and it is not uncommon to receive pieces with different appearances (especially when ordering in quantity). The current plating used on these genuine Nissan Retaining Nuts gives them a slightly blue-silver tinted appearance as shown in the images.

*Model Restriction:
Fits all 70-83 models. For 84-86, fits factory turbocharged models with analog gauges only. For 87-89, fits all factory turbocharged models. Will not fit on 84-86 turbo models with digital gauges or any non-turbo models.
