An overly firm brake pedal is a common symptom of a bad Brake Master Vacuum unit (also known as a Brake Booster). These units typically fail when the internal diaphragm is torn or rots away over time. A bad check valve or vacuum hoses can also cause the booster to not work, so we recommend inspecting these as well. Sold on an exchange basis. For 2+2 models only.
