All performance camshafts are created in the machine shop where they are ground to chosen specifications. The unground camshafts (called "Billets") that we have sold for many decades are not currently available. Fortunately, the factory Nissan camshaft your Z came with is already of the highest quality! Performance camshaft grinds can be made perfectly from your original factory camshaft. Description:
This kit includes all of the parts required for the camshaft warranty. Various gaskets and other engine parts will be required for the engine itself, such as a valve cover gasket, and others. Give us a call or see your qualified technician for more details.

Note:
If you are planning to install this kit yourself, we highly recommend purchasing "How To Modify Your Nissan & Datsun OHC Engine" book in Related Items. This book covers several important steps of the installation process.

Fuel Delivery System:
For Camshafts 10-2001, 10-2002, and 10-2003, we offer a different grind for O.E. Fuel Injection vehicles (this is required for proper operation). Camshafts 10-2004, 10-2005, and 10-2006 are not for use with O.E. Fuel Injection systems, regardless of upgrades. Air Flow Meters used with O.E. Fuel Injection systems will not operate properly with 10-2004, 10-2005, or 10-2006 camshafts. Aftermarket (racing) Fuel Injection systems can be used with all of our camshafts.

  Characteristics: Moderate idle, good power 1500-5500 RPM. Use with S.U. Carburetors, Weber DGV, Four Barrel Conversion, or O.E. Fuel Injection.
• 10-2002 (Stage 2)
  Grind: #17033     Lift: (In/Ex) .480/.480     Duration: (In/Ex) 274/274
  Characteristics: Good idle, power range 1800-6000 RPM. Great slalom grind. Use with S.U. Carburetors, Weber DGV, Triple Carburetors, Four Barrel Conversion, or O.E. Fuel Injection.
• 10-2003 (Stage 3)
  Grind: #17034     Lift: (In/Ex) .460/.460     Duration: (In/Ex) 270/280
  Characteristics: Rougher idle, excellent performance. Pulls hard from 2500-6600 RPM. Use with Weber DGV, Triple Carburetors, Four Barrel Conversion, or O.E. Fuel Injection.
• 10-2004 (Stage 4)
  Grind: #17036     Lift: (In/Ex) .495/.495     Duration: (In/Ex) 290/290
  Characteristics: Rough idle. Midrange and top end power cam for well setup car, 3500-7500 RPM. Excellent for drag or track racing. Use with Triple Carburetors, Four Barrel Conversion, or Aftermarket Fuel Injection.
• 10-2005 (Stage 5)
  Grind: #17038     Lift: (In/Ex) .560/.560     Duration: (In/Ex) 300/300
  Characteristics: Excellent road race power, 4000-8250 RPM. Use with Triple Carburetors, Four Barrel Conversion, or Aftermarket Fuel Injection.
• 10-2006 (Stage 6)
  Grind: #17039     Lift: (In/Ex) .620/.624     Duration: (In/Ex) 304/318
  Characteristics: Competition only. Power from 4500 to 8500 RPM. Use with Triple Carburetors, Four Barrel Conversion, or Aftermarket Fuel Injection.

The expected power ranges have been updated slightly by the manufacturer. Here are their previously advertised ranges that had been published in our online store and catalogs:

• 10-2001: 1500-5000 RPM
• 10-2002: 2000-6000 RPM
• 10-2003: 3000-6500 RPM
• 10-2004: Not previously supplied by manufacturer
• 10-2005: 4000-8500 RPM
• 10-2006: Not updated
