High Temperature Paint from POR-15 is the best option around for any exhaust manifold or header, regardless of whether you are restoring to original or modifying your engine. This paint combines the legendary durability and rust prevention properties of POR-15 paints with the ability to withstand temperatures up to 1200°F without chipping, cracking, or peeling. Also like standard POR-15 paints, it is highly salt, moisture, and weather resistant. We recommend sandblasting your manifold prior to using this paint*. Sold in half pints (8 oz.). If you need a larger size or would prefer the aerosol version, please give us a call.
*Application Note:
High Temperature Paint is a Direct-To-Metal coating and is not compatible with ANY primer or base coating, including POR-15 Rust Preventative Paint.
MSA Header Note: If you have purchased one of our non-coated L-Series headers, you will need to fully remove the black shipping paint prior to coating with POR-15 High Temperature Paint. The header should also be prepped according to the instructions on the can after the paint is removed.

High Temperature Paint replaces POR-20 (Aluminum), Factory Manifold Gray, and Black Velvet (Flat Black).
