Manufacturer error! This firewall insulator was made with the insulation material on the wrong side of the cardboard, resulting in the insulation side facing the interior instead of the firewall. It will still fit Left Hand Drive models without issue and will be fully functional, but the appearance is not correct from a restoration point of view. Some trimming of insulation material may be necessary for fitment. Motorsport firewall insulators are made with high-grade automotive cardboard, to which is added original-type insulation. The firewall insulator installs behind the dash, on the firewall.
*Application Notes:
1973 models may require slight modifications. Motorsport firewall insulators are designed for Left Hand Drive (LHD) models only**.
**RHD Note:
While the insulation is on the correct side for Right Hand Drive models, all of the cutouts on this insulator are based on LHD models. Right Hand Drive models can use this insulator as a replacement; however, holes will need to be added to match your specific application. Additionally, there will be extra holes that do not match up to your model.
