Description:
This reproduction of the OEM factory decal was located on the inside of the quarter window*. Unlike most of the other decals, these were applied to each car manually by an inspector after they had been completed, and were used to confirm that the car met Nissan's quality standards at the time.
Note:
Beware of scanned copies of this Inspection decal on some internet sites. This decal is a high-quality reproduction imported from Japan, and features the correct bright red color missing from some reproductions. These are based off the most common version of the decal as well; may not be an exact match to some very early versions which had different text alignment.
*Location Note:
We typically found these decals applied to the driver's side of the car, regardless of whether the car is left or right hand drive. In some instances, we have found them applied to the passenger side instead. Since these were applied by hand after the inspection was completed, some variance in location is expected. This variance extends to both the position and the angle of the decal. The only consistent aspect of the installation was that they were always in the lower front corner of the quarter window, regardless of which side they were installed on.
