Description:
This reproduction of the OEM factory decal is located on the driver's (left) side of the hood underside across from the emissions decal, and is accurate only for original factory installed Air Conditioning systems (note that many 260Z's and 280Z's were shipped to dealerships without air conditioning, who would then install an aftermarket kit.).
Positioning Notes:
260Z's with factory air conditioning featured this decal on the "upper left" corner of the hood when the hood is open. 75-78 models included this decal had this decal positioned roughly centered "top to bottom" when the hood is open, just inside the outer support structure of the hood (just below the hood vent on 77-78 models). It is located in the "center" section of the underside of the hood on all 280ZX models, toward the driver's side. For 79-81 Non-Turbo models, it is positioned roughly centered "top to bottom" when the hood is open, and is just below straight across from the emissions decal (which is on the passenger side). On 1981 turbo and all 82-83 models, it is positioned towards the "lower" corner when the hood is open (but not all the way down into the corner) and is directly opposite the emissions decal.

Beware of scanned copies of these early Z decals on some internet sites. The reproduction decals we offer are either the actual reproductions commissioned by Nissan for the Restoration Project (most 240Z decals), made by the same supplier that Nissan commissioned, or made by specialist suppliers (typically in Japan).
