One of the weakest components in the factory drivetrain on the later 300ZX is the carrier bearing of the 2-piece driveshaft. Over time they wear out (usually before anything else in the driveline) and ultimately fail, causing a variety of driveability issues. Horsepower and torque increases, as well as aggressive driving, drastically increase wear on this bearing. This one piece driveshaft solves the carrier bearing issue by removing it entirely. These driveshafts include replaceable u-joints.
