Description:
These direct bolt-on replacement mirror assemblies were designed after the style of mirror used in F1 Racing. Perhaps you have seen the recent HRT F1 Car, or the Team Spirit Renault! The mirror housing is Carbon Fiber, and the mirror base is Satin Black. There is also a Silver paint base version, See Related Items below. Note: Since the mirror housing is dry carbon, the thin edge around the mirror itself is dry carbon. If you are familiar with dry carbon, it is much more "dull" in appearance than the rest of the housing. This is by design.
Installation Notes:
When the original mirror base is removed, the top lip of the door under the mirror base, which had been covered by the original base, is exposed. A simple solution is the pre-cut black "decal", one for each side, included with the kit (seen installed under the mirror in the image above). This also allows for simple removal and re-installation of the factory mirror assembly if ever needed.
