Description:
The Concentric Slave Cylinder (which also includes the clutch release bearing) used on 07+ HR motors is prone to failure. The design suffers from a few flaws that can allow clutch dust to enter the hydraulic system, which leads to premature failure. If your clutch pedal stays on the floor when you press it, the likely cause is a bad cylinder. This genuine, original equipment (OEM) assembly should be replaced when installing any clutch, or when replacing the clutch master cylinder. You will need to replace the clutch fluid when replacing this part.
Upgrade!
Jim Wolf Technologies has developed a proper replacement for the original CSC that fixes all of the design flaws! We strongly recommend considering the JWT version instead of the original; see 21-2169 in Related Items below for more information.
Contamination Note:
The design flaws of this original style CSC can lead to contamination of the entire clutch hyrdaulic system, with clutch dust reaching all the way up to the Master Cylinder Reservoir. At a bare minimum, the clutch fluid should be fully flushed and replaced, along with the hard lines being fully blown out, prior to installing any replacement CSC. If contaminants are found in the fluid, the Clutch Master Cylinder and both rubber hoses should also be replaced, again, prior to installation of a replacement CSC.
Note:
This part replaces all previous versions of the factory Concentric Slave Cylinder Assembly.
