Anyone who has installed a spoiler on their 350Z has probably noticed that their tailgate will occasionally close on its own (hopefully not on their head though!). The factory deck support shocks were not designed for the additional weight of rear spoilers; even the factory option spoiler can be too much on models that did not come with the spoiler originally. Heavy duty supports are the only real way to fix the self-closing deck lid problem. These genuine, original equipment (OEM) supports and brackets were optional for those installing larger wings on their 350Z, to provide a greater amount of support for the added weight of the wing. Replaces 30-8277 & 30-8278.
Note:
This kit is not intended for use on models that do not have a rear spoiler installed. They will physically fit on all 350Z coupe models; however, the tailgate will be more difficult to close without the extra weight of a spoiler.
