Description:
This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) "threaded" rubber bumper that the hood rests on when closed. It provides the initial "pop" of the hood when the hood release lever is pulled. If the hood of your car doesn't "pop" like it used to, sticks shut occasionally, or has a front end squeak when driving over bumps at low speeds (such as speed bumps) that you just can't seem to pinpoint, you may want to inspect these bumpers. It is common for these to compress a bit over time or even have entire "threads" break off, which leads to a loose fit against the core support (the hood bumper rubbing against the core support with insufficient tension can cause that squeaking sound). If the bumper is intact, a simple twist can solve the squeak or allow the hood to properly "pop" once again. Sold individually; 2 required per car.
