This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) threaded post with the round rubber bumper on the body near the cowl that supports the hood when it is closed. It is also used to adjust the closed height of the hood so that it sits level with the cowl panel. Sold individually; 2 required per vehicle.
Note:
Hood Height Adjusters use a jam nut to lock the height setting in place after installation and adjustment. Nissan does not include the jam nut with the 280ZX version of the bumper; see 14-1365 in Related Items for a replacement.
