Nissan discontinued the original mirror bases for the first generation 300ZX many years ago. Later, a stronger version of the base was redeveloped for use on a different Nissan model, although at the time no one seemed to be aware that it would fit on the 300ZX as well. We were finally able to perform a test fit to confirm that this will work in place of the discontinued original versions. See Related Items for the mounting screws.
