This genuine, original equipment (OEM) spring bumper prevents the tailgate from slamming down on the body when it is closed. It also provides the initial "pop-up" action of the tailgate when opened. If your rear deck lid doesn't pop up when first opened, or is difficult to open, this is the most likely culprit. Sold individually; 2 required per car.
