Description:
The factory installed rocker cover bolts (also called valve cover bolts) become brittle over time. Combined with a rather low torque requirement, it's no wonder that the original bolts often break during re-installation. (We've even heard of a few original 350Z bolts breaking just from hand tightening!) Sold individually; see below for quantity per car. See 10-5211 in Related Items for 09-14 370Z's.

Installation Tips:
Be very careful when installing these bolts. Rocker Cover Bolts have a very low torque spec and specific order for both installation and removal. We recommend installing the bolts by hand first (but only until resistance is felt), then follow the factory 2-step torque spec and order using an inch-pound specific torque wrench. 370Z owners: if you aren't sure of the installation order, or don't have access to a Factory Service Manual, click here for a diagram showing the proper order. Torque Spec: 18 in-lb 1st Step; 73 in-lb 2nd step. For 23+ Nissan Z^{® owners, the torque spec and order will be similar, but you will need to verify proper installation (and removal) order first.
