Ball Joint, 84-89 300ZX
You can choose a Z-Car from your garage, or from the selections above, to filter the store or check part fitment.
Part #:23-4305
Price: $33.95
Description:
Ball joints are basically socket style joints that fit between the front control arms and the steering knuckles. They allow the strut assemblies to pivot independent from the control arm. These joints are commonly ignored during routine maintenance, which ultimately leads to wear and eventually failure. Bad ball joints can cause a range of issues, from front end vibration or clunking to uneven tire wear and loose or vague steering feel. Sold individually; 2 required per car. Includes boot, c-clamp, cotter pin, and zerk fitting.

Note:
Unlike earlier model Z-Cars that used bolt-on ball joints, removal and installation of ball joints on 300ZX models requires the use of specialized ball joint removal tools. These can usually be rented from a local auto parts store. Don't forget to replace the control arm bushings at the same time if you are planning to completely remove the arm to work on it.
