Description:
Tension Rods connect the front control arm to the Tension Rod Bracket on the frame. Their purpose is to prevent the control arm from moving too far forward or back (especially during heavy braking or suspension travel), thus maintaining proper caster. Over time, the fluid filled bushings wear and may leak, which can lead to sloppy steering and shimmy or vibration under braking. When this happens, the only option is to replace either the bushing itself (with a performance option such as urethane) or the entire tension rod if there is enough damage or a stock ride quality is needed (since the factory bushings only come with the tension rods). This genuine, original equipment (OEM) new assembly includes the tension rod and pre-installed bushing. Sold individually, 2 required per car (1 per side).
