Description:
Automotive drivetrains move around a lot when in use, and the L-Series is no exception. The only reason you don't feel these movements are the drivetrain mount insulators, which include the engine mounts, transmission mount, and differential mount. The transmission mount insulator bears the bulk of the transmission movement; however, the rubber used to insulate the transmission from the body wears out over time. In addition to the heat cycling and the torqueing of the drivetrain putting constant strain on the mount from the moment you start the engine until you turn it off, the transmission mount also serves as the center insulator of the drivetrain. Be sure to inspect your mounts and replace them before a complete failure occurs. This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) mount insulator. See Related Items for hardware. Don't forget about the mount bar bushings!
