Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) single wire temperature sensor sends a signal to the water temperature gauge. On 84-89 Z31 models, it is located between the first and second fuel injectors on the passenger (right) side of the lower intake manifold. For Z32 models, it is located in the water pipe on the front of the engine next to the sensor for the ECU. If the gauge in your dash is giving erratic readings (or no reading at all), this sensor is the first component to inspect (don't forget to inspect the connector too!).

84-89 Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Note:
Does your 300ZX hesitate significantly on acceleration, show signs of running rich, have a particularly rough idle, but only at certain temperatures? Looking for the 2-wire sensor in the driver's side cylinder head? This sender does not send a signal to the ECU or impact fuel maps in any way; See 11-3451 in Related Items instead.
