Availability: Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued by Nissan. While we had previously located a limited number of these OEM switches through one of our overseas suppliers, we have not been able to acquire more of them in some time. While it can be uncommon, we do come across ultra-rare or otherwise hard-to-find parts like this once in a while. We'll update this page if we are able to locate more. Description:
The Water Temperature Switch is part of the Emission Control System on your 260Z. On Manual Transmission vehicles, it is part of the system that signals the EGR to open above a set temperature. It is also the temperature signal source for the Advance Control Relay for the Electronic Ignition Unit (producing more advanced timing at low coolant temperatures and more retarded timing at warmer coolant temperatures) on Automatic Transmission models (with a Dual Point Distributor). Genuine, original equipment (OEM).

Ever since Nissan discontinued production of these switches over six years ago, inventory of these switches has been limited. We were ultimately able to find a very limited supply of these genuine Nissan Water Temperature Switches in Japan. Like many items that we source from Japan or other areas around the world, these switches may not be in stock at all times.
