Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) gear is the outer ring of the flywheel that is engaged by the starter. The teeth on the ring gear can wear from repeated use over the years, and in some cases can even break off entirely. A bad ring gear can result in an intermittent starting issue where the starter doesn't properly engage the ring gear.
