Description:
If you have found evidence of corrosion anywhere in your cooling system, such as debris in your radiator, corroded sensors inside your thermostat housing, or even a rotted thermostat housing, chances are the freeze plugs have begun to rust from inside of the block as well. These are an often overlooked item that can lead to coolant leaks if left alone for too long. Freeze plug leaks will usually start as a coolant leak that comes and goes, then eventually turns into a steady leak if given enough time. These leaks will usually start as a pinhole leak from around the center of the plug instead of a leak around the edges. While you can replace individual plugs to hold over for a while, it is only a matter of time before the next one starts to leak and you have to do the job once again. The only way to avoid doing this job multiple times is to replace all of the plugs at the same time. This kit includes all of the plugs on the cylinder block. One kit required per car.

Application Note:
Don't have the original block in your car due to an engine swap or replacement? 240Z cylinder blocks (E31 and early P30 blocks) have a total of 7 side plugs: 4 on the passenger side (spark plug side) and 3 on the driver's side (manifold side). 260Z, 280Z, and 280ZX blocks (late P30, N42, and F54 blocks) have a total of 9 side plugs, with the driver's side having 5 plugs instead. The block casting number is located on the driver's side toward the lower center of the block.
