Description:
Lightweight bumpers are a great addition to any early Z-Car. Since the factory bumper hardware configuration is different, the stock hardware doesn't work with the Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber bumpers. The bumper manufacturers include brackets on the bumpers, but no other hardware. This simple and convenient kit gives you proper sized bolts and nuts, along with flat washers that fit well with the brackets, and lock washers to hold it all together. This kit includes enough hardware to install one MSA Lightweight Bumper (Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber) to the bumper brackets and fenders or quarter panels (this same kit works for either front or rear bumpers). Sold individually, one kit required per bumper. Note that this kit does not include hardware for the "body" side of the main front or rear bumper brackets. Installation Note:
When using this hardware kit, we recommend starting by installing the 4 center bolts and flat washers through the brackets on the bumpers first (so that the bolts point towards the car, similar to the studs on 240Z metal bumpers). Next, hold the bumper against the bumper brackets and install the second 4 flat washers, then lock washers, and nuts, making sure not to tighten anything completely. Repeat the same process with the side brackets, then adjust the bumper position. Once everything is aligned, tighten all of the hardware starting with the 4 center bolts.
