MSA Victory™ Spoiler, Fiberglass, 79-83 280ZX Coupe

The Story:
The fiberglass company who makes many of our pieces originally made the 70-78 Victory™ Spoiler as a limited factory option spoiler back in the 70's directly for Nissan. The SCCA's rules for many racing classes are similar to this: "Aftermarket aerodynamic devices are prohibited with the exception of front air dams/spoilers and rear spoiler, unless a factory option". So to help out the racers of the day to get more downforce, Nissan had a small amount of 240Z spoilers made to give racers even more of an edge. The S30 version was listed as Nissan a factory option, so it fit into the rules of the day. Our manufacturer has been hard at work over the last few months re-molding the spoiler to properly fit on 79-83 280ZX Coupes, and we are proud to announce that development has been completed.

You asked and we listened! The 280ZX Victory™ Spoiler follows the design of our best-selling S30 version, accurately redesigned to properly fit the rear deck of 280ZX Coupes. The Victory™ Spoiler is made of high quality fiberglass and comes ready for prep and painting. It bolts on to the rear deck lid for security & stability (bolts included).
Safety Note:
The Victory™ Spoiler creates significant downforce, and should not be used at racing speeds without the use of a front air dam to provide front downforce. Please call if you have any questions.

Protective Coating:
This fiberglass item has a gel coating to protect the fiberglass itself from scratches. It is not a finish coat. Your paint professional will sand down the coating prior to final priming and painting. You will notice scratching in this surface, which is exactly what it was designed to do, to take any scratching that can occur in production, transport, storage, handling, and shipping, keeping the fiberglass from being damaged. Please let us know if you have any questions.
