Description:
The Oil Pressure Sender reads the oil pressure from the side of the block and sends the reading the the gauge in your dashboard. If you suddenly see that your oil pressure is zero but everything else seems normal, chances are that it your oil pressure sending unit has gone bad. Unless you also see other symptoms, such as more valve train noise than normal or higher than normal coolant temperature, it is best to go ahead and test your sender to be sure.
