You can choose a Z-Car from your garage, or from the selections above, to filter the store or check part fitment.
Part #:17-8001
Price: $47.30
Description:
The Oil Pressure Sender reads the oil pressure from the side of the block and sends the reading to the gauge in your dashboard. If you suddenly see that your oil pressure is zero but everything else seems normal, chances are that it's your oil pressure sending unit which has failed. Unless you also see other symptoms, such as more valve train noise than normal or higher than normal coolant temperature, it is best to go ahead and test your sender to be sure. While the original factory pressure senders in early Z-Cars are no longer made anywhere, they were also known to be unreliable at best. This quality aftermarket unit has been showing better accuracy than even the originals.

Appearance:
This Oil Pressure Sender has the same type of shape as the original units. Some aftermarket options change the look entirely. This one is close in appearance to the original.

Fitment:
While these aftermarket Oil Pressure Senders work well with the OE Gauge, they were made with a thread that doesn't match up exactly to the original port on the engine block. We have secured a simple metal thread adapter to successfully attach the aftermarket unit's threads properly to the original port. We include this adapter at no charge (not shown).
