Description:
If you are trying to remove the EGR system from your car, chances are you have spent a significant amount of time searching for a European Balance Tube for your carbureted engine or a '75 non-EGR manifold for your F/I motor. Unfortunately, these two items are rather difficult to come by these days. A block off plate is the next best option to these hard to find pieces, and, they look much better than welded up holes no matter how well they are cleaned up after welding. Our block off plates are made from Billet Aluminum and polished just like our head cover plates and mechanical fuel pump block off plates.

Note:
We recommend using an EGR Valve Gasket with this block off plate; see Related Items.

Manifold Note:
You will need an additional plug if you are currently using a factory EGR exhaust manifold or a header with an EGR port. Please give us a call if you have any questions.

Hardware Note:
The hardware included in this kit is intended for mounting directly to the intake manifold/balance tube, which requires removal of the original mounting studs. In addition, some L28 models (normally automatic transmission models) have a thick spacer between the intake manifold and the EGR Valve. If you want to keep the factory studs or spacer, or are unable to remove the factory studs, this Block Off Plate can be installed over the spacer with additional hardware (2 8mm nuts would be sufficient).
