Please keep in mind that this distributor setup was designed for race vehicles only, and designed for very high rpm operation. The setup required and extreme ignition timing settings necessary are not compatible with stock or even street performance vehicles.
Description:
The distributor features forged internal components, designed for durability, capable of handling ultra-high revolutions. Two ball bearing plates make the unit very efficient, and able to handle 24,000 rpm. The shaft is machined, and the body was made more compact to reduce shaking. The pickup center has high-speed infra-red sensors, which guarantee a steady spark at higher revolutions. The kit also includes the Ignition Control Unit and wiring.
Note:
The 70-83 Non-Turbo oil pump drive spindle will not work with this distributor. Kameari used to include the 82-83 280ZX turbo spindle with this kit; however, cost and sporadic availability forced them to remove it. They have since created their own drive spindle for use with this kit, although it still needs to be purchased separately (see 10-2189 in Related Items below). We have also found a new supply of OE 280ZX turbo spindles, which can be purchased separately (10-2188 in Related Items).
Kameari Product Note:
This Kameari product was originally a Special Order item with a 6-8 week timeframe to arrive from Japan (it was incorrectly listed online as taking 3-4 weeks). We were recently able to work out a better deal with them that allowed us to lower our price on all of their products while speeding up the shipping time to us. All Kameari products are still sourced from the manufacturer in Japan.
