Brake Master Cylinder, 78 280Z

Description:
The master cylinder sends brake fluid to both the front and rear brakes. Some signs of a bad master cylinder are easy to spot, such as leaks around the cylinder or reservoirs. Other signs, such as a very soft brake pedal or a pedal that sinks to or stays down on the floor, can indicate problems from just about all of the brake hydraulic system. Some signs are more difficult to notice, such as a spongy pedal that won't go away after proper bleeding or contaminated brake fluid. Regular brake fluid changes and occasional inspections of the cylinder are both good ways to spot problems with the cylinder. This is the OEM Nissan replacement brake master cylinder. Includes 2 new caps with sensors.

Note:
Unfortunately, Nissan has discontinued this master cylinder, and, we have not been able to located a direct replacement that includes the correct caps with sensors. The 72-77 brake master cylinder can be used in place of this unit; however, you will need to either re-use your 1978 caps or rewire your car to bypass the sensors. Please give us a call for details.
