Description:
This quality reproduction cover plate houses the Rear Window Defroster Switch, Fasten Seat Belt Light (if equipped), and Choke Warning Light at the front of the center console. It lifts up to reveal the fuse box hidden underneath, and also provides easy access to replace blown out fuses as needed. It features graining similar to the original textured black plastic, chrome trimming, and engraved white symbols for the defroster and choke.

Note:
Some 240Z models originally came with a decal stating "CHOKE" covering the choke symbol, which is not included with this version of the cover plate. Additionally, not all models came with the Seat Belt Warning system; these models had a blanking plate fitted in the center position instead of the Seat Belt Warning Light (also not included). This plate will fit all models with the late style center console regardless of how the original in your Z was formatted.

*Application Note:
Models produced in late 1970 and early 1971 came with one of 2 types of center consoles. Nissan was not consistent during this period of Z-Car production, and cars produced even in the same week often times came in different configurations. This cover plate fits 240Z center consoles where the Ash Tray is positioned behind the shift boot. It is not used on early model consoles.
