Description:
Rocker arm pivots are part of the valve lifter assembly. They provide the pivot point that allows the rocker arm to articulate and sit opposite the valve springs in the cylinder head. On mechanical heads like most Z-Car L-Series engines, they can be adjusted to change the height of the pivot point. Setting the pivot point correctly is crucial, as an incorrect setting can reduce horsepower and increase engine wear. The "cup" end of the rocker arm fits over this genuine, original equipment (OEM) pivot. Fits Solid Lifter cylinder heads only*. Sold individually; 12 required per car.
*Application Note:
All non-turbo cylinder heads originally use solid lifters. Officially, Nissan used solid lifters on 81-82 turbo P90 cylinder heads and only used hydraulic lifters on the 1983 turbo model P90A heads. We've come across a very limited number of turbo heads with the incorrect lifter type used. Additionally, some racers have converted hydraulic P90A heads to the solid configuration. If you are using a turbo model engine or cylinder head in your Z, it's a good idea to confirm which lifter type you have prior to ordering. Please give us a call at (714)639-2620 or Email us if you have any questions.
