Description:
Whether you have an original 1981-1983 280ZX Non-Turbo or are L28 swapping your S30, this forged piston and ring kit is a mandatory addition if you are setting your engine up for naturally aspirated high performance. The 87 mm flat-top design means they match the diameter of the factory Nissan .040 (1mm) oversize pistons for 81-83 Non-Turbo engines and are similar in design as well.
*Fitment Note:
These pistons can be installed in any L28 non-turbo block; however, care should be taken when changing piston design. Specifically, changing from a dished piston to a flat top piston will noticeably increase compression. Other modifications, such as a high lift camshaft, thinner head gasket, or cylinder head change, need to be taken into consideration as well. If possible you should speak with a qualified engine builder or race technician to plan a build around your specific needs, as well as build a parts list to fit your needs, prior to ordering
