Description:
Sewn-molded carpet is a hybrid of molded and sectional carpet kits. The "molding" to the floor shape is accomplished by the pattern that the pieces are sewn together, similar to how clothing is made. They are available in cut-pile or loop style and include attached padding on the rear deck mat (see Related Items below for more insulation). The kit includes a durable heel pad sewn onto the driver's side carpet in the correct location. You will receive pieces for the complete floor coverage and the luggage riser with this carpet kit. Adhesive is included.

Fitment Note:
Please inspect your floors prior to ordering. This carpet kit is designed to fit early style floors (vertical tool doors); however, we have seen some early models with late style floors and late models with early floors (especially on 1971 models). The easiest way to tell is by confirming which style tool doors your car has. Early and late kits are not interchangeable with each other. See Model Note below for details.

Loop vs. Cut-Pile Carpets:
Loop and cut-pile refer to the type of stitching used to make the carpet. With Loop carpet, you will feel the "looped" or curved edge of the fibers, while with cut-pile you will feel the cut end of the fibers.

*Rear Floor Sections:
The Rear floor sections cover the floor area from the plastic tool doors and luggage riser to the seats. These are specifically trimmed to fit around the "vertical" tool doors as noted below.

Model Note:
The 70 through early 71 240Z's had plastic "vertical" tool doors located between the seats and the vertical luggage riser which opened towards the seats. The late 71 through 73 240Z's, and early 74 260Z's (through 8/74) had metal "horizontal" tool doors located underneath the rear deck carpet at the top of the luggage riser that opened towards the roof/hatch.

Expedited Shipping Restrictions:
This kit includes an aerosol can of spray adhesive. Aerosol items can NOT be shipped by air mail (like FedEx Priority or 2 Day Air Shipments). We strongly recommend sending this package by ground service shipment. To ship overseas, or if you request an expedited domestic air shipment for this kit, we are required to remove the aerosol can from the shipment. While the manufacturer includes the adhesive at no extra charge, as a courtesy your final order will receive a reduced shipping fee to help cover the cost of purchasing adhesive locally (this reduction will not be shown in your online order). You can find automotive-grade spray adhesives at most local automotive stores. Please note that only automotive-grade, high-temperature spray adhesive will successfully bond these types of materials. Please give us a call at (714)639-2620 if you have any questions.
