Description:
Whether it was due to the elements or competitive driving, the special washers at each end of the tension rod are an item that many Z-Car owners have lost over the years. Unfortunately, replacements were not available for a very long time, as manufacturing techniques needed to reproduce these at a reasonable price in small quantities simply did not exist for a long time. In late 2019, one of our local engineers took a look at these and determined it could be done; however, around the same time we stumbled across an old bit of Nissan supplemental data that pointed us down a different path. The Covid-19 pandemic unfortunately put our research into these on hold, but we were finally able to track down the OEM Nissan replacements for the genuine, original equipment washers that were discontinued years ago. This kit includes both washers and all of the hardware related to the bushings. Each kit covers one tension rod; 2 total kits required per car.

Note:
This kit includes all of the hardware specified by Nissan in the supplemental data we found. Although the data does also specify bushings, we do not include replacements as these can be used with both rubber and urethane bushings. See Related Items for bushing options.
