The Thermal Vacuum Valve helps control ignition timing by applying or cutting off vacuum to the distributor depending on engine temperature. This valve fits both California and Federal models, is installed under the air regulator in the manifold heater assembly, and has 2 vacuum ports.

There are several different setups that Nissan used for the Thermal Vacuum Valves. Some models use one valve while others use two (thermostat housing and/or manifold heater assembly); some have 2 vacuum ports and others have 3. We recommend inspecting your car to confirm which setup your car has.
