Description:
Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed air flow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box (fully sealed unit, not sealed to the hood) is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air. Includes a MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter for improved performance, with the comfort of oiled filtration technology for those looking for horsepower. The high performance MaxFlow 5 layer oiled cotton gauze air filter is made of the highest quality textiles, pleated between a top and bottom aluminum screen. Deep pleated folds allow for more surface area to catch any unwanted particles. Each filter comes pre-oiled and ready for use. This design will allow the highest air flow rate possible and a very long filter life, with maintenance intervals possibly up to 40K miles depending on driving conditions. See Related Items below for Volant's two stage cleaning kit to thoroughly clean and re-oil the filter when necessary. Inspect the filter every 12,000-15,000 miles to ensure peak operation.
