Description:
The Water Temperature Switch is part of the Emission Control System on your 240Z. On Manual Transmission vehicles, it is part of the system that signals the EGR to open above a set temperature. In addition, on Automatic Transmission models (with a Dual Point Distributor), it is also the temperature signal source for the Advance Control Relay for the Electronic Ignition Unit (producing more advanced timing at low coolant temperatures and more retarded timing at warmer coolant temperatures).
