Description:
Offset Control Arm Bushings are probably the easiest way to add adjustability beyond what is possible with stock components. A camber kit should be considered mandatory with wider wheels and tires or most applications with lowering springs. This kit features adjusters machined from high-grade aluminum and long lasting Delrin bushing inserts. Sold as a complete set to replace the inner control arm bushings only**. As with any suspension component that offers adjustment, an alignment is required after installation. For adjustment, use the special camber wrench* shown in Related Items below.
*Installation Note:
The 23-4174 Camber Wrench is needed for proper adjustment of this kit. The factory suspension design does not provide enough room for standard wrenches to fit over the end of the aluminum adjusters. If your mechanic has worked on Z-Car suspension before, or commonly works on performance suspension setups, they may have a tool that will work already (check with them prior to ordering). See Related Items if you need to purchase the wrench.
**Outer Bushing Note:
While this kit replaces all four inner control arm bushings, it does not include replacements for the spindle pin bushings (the bushings on the outer end of the rear control arm). See Related Items for rubber and urethane replacement options.
Control Arm Hardware Note:
The factory inner control arm bushings create a series of small notches in the flat control arm bolt washer. While uncommon, it is possible for these notches to cause damage to the delrin bushing inserts (especially if the metal between the notches has been pushed above the washer surface). If you will be using your old washers, make sure to remove any material that protrudes above the surface of the washer. If your bolts or washers are beyond repair, see 14-1434-1 in Related Items for our Reproduction Control Arm Bolts.
