Description:
Whether you are suffering from vapor lock on your carbureted Z, running high performance carburetors (such as triples or a 4-bbl), putting a late Z engine into a 240Z or 260Z, or modifying an engine for greater horsepower, this Nismo Electric fuel pump is ideal to replace or augment your stock mechanical fuel pump. It is especially suitable for those vintage builds where period correct parts and accessories are required. This high flow pump will outflow both the original mechanical unit and the factory installed 73-74 electrical pump, making it ideal for performance or stock applications. Electric pumps also offer a more even fuel delivery to the carburetors since they do not rely on engine speed like mechanical units. It can be used to directly replace a failed 73-74 electrical pump or as a standalone alternative in a variety of carbureted setups. For use on Carbureted cars only; not for use with Fuel Injection.
Features:
This pump bolts in directly to the original 73-74 electric fuel pump bracket. For other years, you will either need to source one of these brackets or fabricate a custom bracket.
Note:
If you are replacing your mechanical fuel pump with this unit, we recommend also purchasing one of our fuel block off plates for the factory pump. We have a standard type as well as a polished billet plate listed in Related Items.
Fuel Filter Note:
Although this unit does have an internal fuel filter, you will still need to keep a filter in the factory location.
