Description:
We start with quality, hardened steel Allen bolts, which are polished, chromed, then baked to preserve tensile strength. Unlike most oil pump bolt kits (including our own Oil Pump Installation Kit), our Chromed Oil Pump Bolt Set comes with both hardware to mount the pump to the timing cover and hardware to hold the two parts of the housing together. This kit will fit on all 70-83 Z/ZX engines and includes a total of 6 bolts and 6 lock washers.

Note:
Due to the location of the oil pump on L-Series motors, this hardware kit will be less visible when compared to our other chromed bolt kits. The main purpose of this kit is to offer hardware that matches our other kits (such as our Chromed Alternator and Timing Bolt kits, which are partially visible in the image above) while providing a minor accent to an often overlooked area of the engine. One of the two housing bolts is not visible once the pump is installed, while one of the mounting bolts is only visible from underneath the car. Also keep in mind that, if you are installing this kit on your currently installed oil pump, you will need to replace both the mounting and housing gaskets (see Related Items).
