It rests on top of your original carpeting with the same high quality construction used in our floor mats, like sewn-bound edges and thick pile. The bright Silver Classic "Z" logo is embroidered for beauty and durability.

Model Notes:
The early 1977 280Z rear deck flooring does not remain "flat" all the way to the rear tail lights, but angles upward shortly before the tail lights, and ends near the top of the tail lights. The late 1977 deck floor is flat from the front all the way to the back (at the tail lights), the same as all 1978 280Z's. Please call us if you have any questions.

Speaker Panel Note:
If you already have, or plan to install one of our our Custom Speaker Panels, unfortunately this Mat is a little too thick for the Speaker Panel to have proper clearance.
