(1) Left (Driver's) Side Metal Headlight Case

Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) metal case extends forward from the fender and fits around driver's (left) side headlight. The factory lower valance, along with air dams that replace the valance, attach to this case.

*Application Note:
70-6/72 240Z's were originally equipped with fiberglass headlight cases, which are no longer available from Nissan (see our reproduction fiberglass cases in Related Items). The 7/72-78 metal cases (such as this one) require no modification to replace the fiberglass units.

Protective Coating:
Nissan replacement body panels for early Z-Cars originally came with a black coating, which was intended to protect the metal from rusting prior to paint and body work. It is not a finish coat, and it is also not designed for impact protection. As such, it is fairly common for this coating to arrive with scratches, scuffs, and scrapes, both from shipping and time spent on the shelf (note that the longer OEM panels sit on the shelves at Nissan, the more likely the coating will be scratched up to an extent). This coating should be removed as a last step of prep work after all other body repair work has been completed and prior to priming and paint. Please contact us with any questions at (714)639-2620.
