Description:
(Formerly POR-15 Super Starter Kit) The three important steps of protecting your car's metal components, all in one convenient kit! Cleaner/Degreaser will thoroughly clean surfaces with industrial strength that is also environmentally friendly, without leaving anything residues, solvents, or anything else behind. Metal Prep insures paint adhesion by removing surface rust, gently etching metal, and coating it with zinc phosphate to promote chemical bonding. Rust Preventative Coating leaves a solid finish which won't crack, chip, or peel which protects surfaces from water, chemicals, salt, and other corrosive contaminants (see individual product pages for full details). This kit works great as a test and for a wide range of small projects.

Rust Preventative Paint Color Features:

• Gloss Black: Best option for areas that won't be top-coated or exposed to direct sunlight, such as underside areas, inner fenders, frames, floor pans, suspension parts, etc. Non-conductive.

Depending on your needs, one of the other color options may be better for your project. Here are the features of the other colors of Rust Preventative Paint:

• Clear: Offers the smoothest finish; makes a great preprimer on exterior surfaces.
• Gray: Great for concrete floors, storage areas, and steel. Non-conductive.
• Silver: Contains metal filler, making it great for badly rusted and pitted areas (will fill holes better than black or clear).

While they are not available in the Stop Rust Kit, these other color options are available in all of the other sizes; see 80-8253 in Related Items.

Notes:
Be sure to follow the included instructions during use. Proper preparation of the surface is critical to ensure that Rust Preventative Coating achieves a lasting bond to that surface. A topcoat should be applied when used on areas that will receive significant direct sunlight.

Size Note:
POR-15 paints go a long way. This 4 ounce size is enough to cover most small projects on your Z-Car, and should cover about 6 square feet with 2 coats (recommended) or 12 square feet with 1 coat. Larger sizes of Cleaner/Degreaser, Metal Prep, and Rust Preventative Coating are all available separately if needed.
