Description:
If you are planning to upgrade to a performance clutch on your Z, we recommend upgrading to the 350Z solid cast iron clutch fork. The original stamped steel fork is not strong enough for the increased resistance of modern performance pressure plates, and it is common for them to flex out of shape due to the increased resistance. This ultimately results in an extra soft pedal and inconsistent clutch operation that causes premature disc wear. Starting with the 2004 350Z, Nissan began using a solid cast iron fork that can properly withstand the increased stress from newer clutch kits. This kit includes everything you will need to upgrade your clutch fork to the stronger solid unit. You will need to retain and reuse your old collar with this kit. See our other kits in Related Items below if you need a replacement clutch collar as well.
Pedal Adjustment Note:
The Clutch Pedal height must be adjusted after installing this kit.
Release Bearing Note:
We do not include a release bearing with this kit, since many performance clutch kits already include one. See Related Items if you need a replacement.
Z31 Note:
If you have replaced your non-turbo (71C) or early model turbo (90A) transmission to the late model transmission (30A), and you have changed the clutch and flywheel to match, this kit can be used on your application. Note that this kit WILL NOT work with the factory non-turbo or early turbo transmissions.
