Description:
This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) replacement for the smaller of the two multi-groove belts found on early 350Z motors (DE Type Engines). It drives the air conditioning compressor, and is the rear of the 2 belts (closer to the timing cover). If you see any cracking or fraying on your belt, you should replace it before it tears entirely.
Note:
In most cases, engine drive belts wear at either the same or similar rates. It is generally recommended to replace both belts at the same time if either is showing signs of wear. Since this A/C Belt is the rear of the two, the Fan Belt will need to be removed in order to replace it (the Fan Belt blocks access to removal and installation of the A/C belt). Additionally, the bearing in the Idler Pulley is most likely starting to show signs of wear (some early 350Z models are already over 20 years old!). Make sure to inspect these pulleys while the belt is off; if you hear noise or feel resistance when rotating the idler by hand, it's time to replace it!
