Factory Tension Rod, Left, 88-89 300ZX
Description:
Tension Rods connect the front control arm to the Tension Rod Bracket on the frame. Their purpose is to prevent the control arm from moving too far forward or back (especially during heavy braking or suspension travel), thus maintaining proper caster. Over time, the bushings wear out, which can lead to sloppy steering and shimmy or vibration under braking. When this happens, the only option is to replace either the bushing itself or the entire tension rod if there is enough damage. This genuine, original equipment (OEM) rod includes the driver's side tension rod only; bushings not included. Sold individually.
