Four Barrel Carburetor Conversion Kit, 70-83 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX
You can choose a Z-Car from your garage, or from the selections above, to filter the store or check part fitment.
Update: We now include the stud and wing nut required to install the air filter!
Includes:
Description:
This complete kit includes our 11-2995 Clifford Four Barrel manifold kit, our 11-2996 Holley 390CFM carburetor with mounting plate, our custom linkage kit, and a sharp K&N 14" drop-base chrome air cleaner!
Here's why we use the components that we chose:
The Clifford manifold will interfere slightly with our exhaust header systems. Slight modification (grinding) is required to the mounting flange to allow the proper fit. The manifold WILL NOT work at all with Nissan Competition Headers or Hooker headers.
Smog Legality:
Performance Intake Components may not be street/smog legal in some areas. Check with the motor vehicle code/department in your area.

- The Clifford manifold has a wide, properly placed hot water jacket to atomize the fuel immediately upon exiting the carburetor, before moving through the runners. Without this (and sufficiently sized hot water connections), your cylinders will receive an uneven amount of fuel.
- The Clifford manifold has an open plenum. That means there are adapters available for more than just a Holley 4 Barrel carburetor. If you need to change in the future to match the needs of your performance engine, you can do so with a simple adapter change.
- The Clifford Holley adapter, for instance, can be positioned in any direction on the open plenum, depending on how you will use/race the car, you are not stuck with only one carburetor placement option.
- The Clifford manifold is a single-plane design, just like the L6 engine (intakes at same height, pistons at same height, etc.). Other manifolds have a "step up" along the runner, making them "dual plane", which adversely affects L6 performance.
- The Clifford manifold has a purpose-made "rough" interior surface to keep fuel from "pooling" in areas along the route, which could contribute to unbalanced lean & rich cylinder conditions.
- The Holley carb uses a dichromate finish for long lasting corrosion resistance.
- The Holley carb has a preset electric choke that provides easy, no hassle startups.
- The Holley carb has vacuum secondaries that adjust for various builds.
- The Holley carb uses a single feed fuel inlet to simplify installation.
- The Holley carb is designed to prevent power valve blow-out to protect your engine.
- The low profile K&N air filter is washable and reusable for long life and fits under your hood without modification.
- Our custom throttle cable kit attaches to your factory throttle pedal with no modification.
The Clifford manifold will interfere slightly with our exhaust header systems. Slight modification (grinding) is required to the mounting flange to allow the proper fit. The manifold WILL NOT work at all with Nissan Competition Headers or Hooker headers.
