Description:
Direct replacement for all early externally regulated alternators. 1 year warranty. Sold on an exchange basis. Replaces 12-4072. Don't forget to check your voltage regulator and replace the old bolts (see Related Items).

Note:
Alternators and Voltage Regulators are paired components within the electrical system and should be replaced in pairs. It is common for these parts to cause their counterpart to go bad, especially after replacing only one of the two. Specifically, a bad voltage regulator can cause a good or even brand new alternator to go bad, and the reverse is also true. We recommend having both your voltage regulator and battery tested prior to ordering, in addition to testing your current alternator, in order to confirm the source of the issue you are seeing.
