Reproduction Door Weatherstrip, Right, 70-73 240Z
Part #:34-1069-1
Price: $34.95
See Description.
Discontinued by Manufacturer. See 34-1075-1
Description:
This reproduction piece is the main door weatherstrip that goes on the car body, all the way around the passenger side door opening. This weatherstrip requires separate door welting, which is not currently available new. Old welting removed in good condition can be reused, however you may also want to look at part 34-1075-1 below, which comes with the welting already attached to the weatherstrip, as it was on 280Z's from the factory. The replacement welting when available was $24.95/side, so the kit below with the welting already adhered to the weatherstrip is a great deal!
Fitment Notes:
It is normal for the doors to be difficult to close for a time after initial installation, even if OEM replacement weatherstrips were installed. The seals need some time to properly seat and mold to the body and door. In extreme cases, adjustment of the door hinges and latches may be needed. Applying spray silicone to the surface of the seal and warming the seal with a heat gun/hair dryer can make the door easier to close after installation. We also recommend allowing the car to sit in the sun for a time after the doors are closed to help the weatherstrips mold to the car faster.
